Life Goes On



You came home to see your grandmother at your house. "Hey grandma." You said smiling. For some reason tears were in her eyes and your smile faded. "W-what's wrong?" you asked worried.

"Y-your parents, they were in a car crash and t-they died." She replied sadly.

Tears flooded your eyes. "W-what?" you asked.

"It's true. I-is there anyone you could possibly stay with?" she asked.

"Um yeah." You muttered.

"Okay good. We are selling the house soon and you have to move out in 3 days." She said.

You couldn't believe this your parents were really dead. Who would you possibly stay with? Soon your phone started to buzz. It was a text from Lovino Vargas your best friend and longtime crush. ‘ Hey (name), I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today. ~Lovi.’ Honestly you didn't want to leave your house but you did anyway. The walk to Lovino's house was short and you knocked on his door.

"(Name)!" he exclaimed giving you a small hug. He looked at your red puffy eyes and his mood suddenly changed. "What's wrong (name)?" he asked sounding concerned.

Tears started filling your eyes. "M-my parents, t-they died in a c-car crash." You said as the tears spilled over and you collapsed onto the ground sobbing.

Lovino helped you up and brought you inside. "I'm so sorry (name). Where are you going to stay?" he asked.

"I-I don't know." You replied, rubbing your eyes.

"Hey, how about you stay with me!" he suggested.

“R-really?" you asked.

"Yeah!" he replied/

"Um okay." You said quietly.

The two of you talked about the living situation. "So (name) how about you move in tonight?" Lovino asked.

"Sure, okay." You replied. "Maybe I should go home and pack." You added.

"Okay. I'll help you." He said as you two walked to your house.

When you get there you see that your grandmother has left. You and Lovino headed up to your room and you grabbed your suitcases and packed all your necessities. "Thanks for helping Lovi." You said hugging him.

He blushed slightly. "N-no problem (name)." he said returning the hug.

The both of you get back to Lovino's house at around 5:30 pm. "I think I'll take a shower." You muttered heading upstairs.

"Okay." He said as he headed into the living room.

You turned the shower on and stepped in. Before you had gotten into the shower you grabbed your favorite shampoo and soap. Your shower didn't take long at all but then you noticed something, you had forgotten a towel. "Lovino!" you shouted.

"Yeah?" he replied just as loud.

"Um could you get me a towel?" you asked.

"S-sure (name)." he said, coming upstairs.

You heared the door click open and you see a hand slide into the door. You took the towel from his hand. "Thanks Lovi." You said.

"No problem (name)." he replied as he headed back downstairs.

You headed to your room and you got dressed. Since tonight was Friday you picked out a tight black T-shirt and some skinny jeans. "Hey Lovino, do you think we could go out tonight?" you asked as you came down the stairs.

"Sure." He said. "Where do you want to go?" he added.

"I was thinking that we could go to Subway or something." You replied as you tied you neon pink converse sneakers.

He smiled that rare smile. "Sure (name)." he replied as he stood up.

Lovino drove the two of you to Subway and you both split a foot long sand witch. "Wow that was really good." You said, sipping some of your Dr. Pepper.

Lovino smiles again. "I'm glad you liked it (name)." he said. You both headed home and you headed upstairs to your room.

You checked the time and it said 8:30 pm. "What it's 8:30 already? Did we really spend 2 hours at Subway?" you asked out loud. You changed into some sweatpants and a large T-shirt. You walked downstairs and sat on the couch next to Lovino. "So what are you watching?" you asked resting your head on his shoulder.

"I'm watching some cooking show." He said flatly.

As the show progresses you get somewhat tired and you eventually fell asleep. Lovino carried you up to your bed. That night you dreamt about your parents. You woke up sobbing because once you woke up and came back to reality you remembered they were dead. You door swung open and you see Lovino standing there with a worried face. "(Name) what's wrong?" he asked, walking over to you.

Tears were still streaming down your face. "I-I dreamt about my parents." You said.

He hugged you and stroked your hair. "It's okay (name)." he muttered. He looked into your eyes. "Ti amo." He muttered as he wiped away the tears.

"I-I love you too Lovi." You murmured.

That night the two of you slept peacefully with each other.
